Pictographs, Canyonlands National Park, Utah

ID 2164

The Great Gallery preserves ghostly figures painted in red ochre on sandstone and represents one of the best-preserved pictograph sites in North America. Archeologists believe these life-size figures may be more than 3,000 and perhaps as much as 6,000 years old.
